Feist Rescue Information: The Feist is a small dog bred in the U.S. for hunting small game. The Feist is not a purebred and its characteristics vary widely from dog to dog. Feists are known for their ability to tree squirrels and other small animals. Feists are typically high spirited dogs; their appearance and temperament often leads them to be mistaken for Jack Russell Terriers.

Feist Trivia: George Washington mentioned Feists in his diary. Feists have been kept since the 1600s. Abraham Lincoln mentioned feists in a poem he wrote.
