If you are interested in any of the FFOS pups, the first step is to fill out an application. Please email us at ffosk9rescue.org@yahoo.com for an application. If you are working with our wonderful partner For the Love of Dogs/Vermont Dog Rescue fill out an application at www.vermontdogrescue.com, VDR is our partner rescue and helps place many into loving homes. Tiffany is an affectionate 2 year old terrier mix that weighs 35 pounds. We really don't know what breed she is but we strongly think she could be a Feist mix. Tiffany was surrendered because her owner has Alzheimer and could not be trusted to care for her any more. She will develop ... (Read More)a strong bond with her human and enjoys spending her time with them. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car. She does display some separation anxiety but not in a destructive way. She will sit at the door and cry for a little while but will settle down and wait quietly for you to return. Tiffany is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on all her shots and has been started on Heartworm, flea/tick and parasite prevention. Tiffany is OK with other dogs, she likes kids and is good with cats. She likes men and women alike. She loves to sleep with her humans and does not need to be crates when left alone. The adoption fee is $200. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group, so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups. OUT OF STATE adoptions are possible. If you are working with Vermont Dog Rescue, the additional fee is $200 to cover transportation costs and the health certificate, which is required to cross state lines. Transport to other areas is dependent on location. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Feist in Alabama
Feist Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Feist is a small dog bred in the U.S. for hunting small game. The Feist is not a purebred and its characteristics vary widely from dog to dog. Feists are known for their ability to tree squirrels and other small animals. Feists are typically high spirited dogs; their appearance and temperament often leads them to be mistaken for Jack Russell Terriers.
